Anyone know who was in booth 209? One of the guys had his mount confiscated by the ODNR. His story was that it was a Kentucky buck, measuring out at 196 inches. Evidently, the ODNR was presented with trail cam pics of the bucks 80 miles away. I’ve tried doing internet searches on this buck and can’t find anything. The guy was on the prostaff for the company exhibiting in that booth.

I walked out with a Millennium stand and a Spot and Stalk quiver pack.

I threw away my expo map. If anyone has it and could look it up for me I sure would be grateful.

    I had a good time.

Got to meet the BEC guys, they were on the lookout for Cuddeback Poster Boy Numbero Uno

Met a few other guys as well,

I left with a Turkey Vest, some calls, some broadheads, and some scentblocker stuff that was on discount.

We were there on Friday.. I had a good time but I have to say I was a bit dissapointed. I enjoyed the guys from PA at the Woodhaven booth and Spoke with Mr. Rex as well. Super nice Guy! Thanks for taking the time Mike.. I would have liked to talk to Chris Brackett (if he was there) but his booth was empty. There were some dandy bucks being scored but as for the rest, just a buncha novilty junk. IMO.

Saw an ODNR officer approach them around noon today, he did not look very happy. 209 may have been an outfitter out of Kentucky if I remember correctly.

Had a good time at the show. i was there fri and sat till about 4ish helping man the booth. It was good to meet some of you all and put a face with a username.
I too am getting a new elite soon and used the expo as my chance to try em out…I shot all htree, The Judge, The GT500 and the Z28…I was suprised how quick the 70 # GT500 stacked up and how smooth the 60# GT seemed. Almost liek different bow really. The judge was really smooth and fast but I am on the fence with the 6" brace height. The Z28 was a joy to shoot.Crazy smooth and zero hand shock…All three bow had virtually no and shock really. But I look at their other bows and see the speed and can’t help but wonder.
After talking with them I was told that every bow that leaves gets checked and approved by the same 1 guy( he was the shorter shaved headed guy there". He basically said they have a in between deflection limb where if someone wanted a 65# GT it could be easily done. Their 60# GT500s usually top out about 62-64 anyways….So I am still undecided…But I am can’t wait to get one of the three

Booth 207 was an outfitter. Booth 209 WAS NOT an outfitter and sold several different products. My buddy still had his exhibit floor map and told me who was in 209. I spoke to the outfitter in 207 (Oil Creek Outfitters) at length. He was a very nice and funny guy, btw.

Wasn’t that the booth with that BIG Symmetrical 12 pt? Had points like Daggers. Stupid Poacher.. What kind of idiot would poach a deer like that and bring it to the D&T expo as a Kentucky kill… Moron!

If you guys did not get a chance to see the deer the ODNR took, I am sure you will get the opportunity again. The boys in green will no doubt have this one on display. It is the real deal. It is a 6 by seven with a non typ point below the brow tine on one side, without that it pushes over the 200 net mark. If the 6point side would have matched the 7, it probably gos past the Mel Johnson deer if it were taken by a legit archer versus the way it was taken. Real shame….Adams county doing it again.

  12. Ulan says:

  13. Vicki says:

Dang it!! i always miss all the fun.

I saw the buck, know the story first hand. The booth were member’s of this site from Ohio. I certainly hope they had nothing to do with it, and hope they have the integrity to explain their involvment or lack thereof. I will allow them to take it from there.
The new "Kentucky State Record typical" was indeed poached in Adams County Ohio though. It was tagged in KY, from what I was told, because the "hunter" had their hunting rights revoked in Ohio for a previous poaching conviction. (what I was told)
